It has been a while since I visited Tess and Q. They're one of my favorite couples and I'm so happy that Ms. Winters provided this delicious little tidbit to ease my withdrawl symptoms. I can't get enough of these two!Taking place following 'Tears of Tess', this is a short and sweet bonus told from Tess' POV. She has just returned to Q, deciding to remain his esclave on a permanent basis. What ensues is a couple of very steamy sex scenes and some heartfelt moments between the two.
To reorient readers, Ms. Winters also included the Q's epilogue from 'Tears of Tess'. Reading it, I had no problem remembering exactly where the story had left off and getting right back into it.
If you haven't read 'Tears of Tess', this short "extra" probably won't have much meaning to you. If you're a fan of the 'Monsters in the Dark' series, you'll probably love this freebie. I know that I did. It was like an early Christmas gift from Ms. Winters to her fans.

I really like Pepper Winters, though it's hard to read some of the brutality. I would give this book 5 stars except that there are quite a few misspelled words and other grammatical errors. The story is good, if a little drawn out. I'll read the series again
This is all Tessa, I do love Tessa and Qs story , this a really short little excerpt of Tessa and I absolutely loved it...thanks PEPPER Winters for easing the in between book spasms.
This is just a very story story from Tess' point of view after the end of the first book - Tears of Tess. It is after Tess comes back to Q and become his esclave. It is just a short scene showing their hot chemistry for each other! Always willing to read more of Ms. Winters' stories.
This was short quick read about one of my favorite dark kinky couples. This book takes place after 'Tears of Tess' from Tess's POV when she returns Q and becomes is esclave. This sex scenes between these two all always hot and sometimes dangerous but this one was sweet and very heart felt. This book was has a few chapters from other books by Ms. Winters. This book was well written like the rest of her books.
I have read the Monster's in the Dark series a couple of times before I came across this little extra. I wasted no time getting it, and managed to read it in the context of the series, and it only added more depth to it. Only read this book if you plan on re-reading or reading for the first time the Monsters in the Dark series. It is such a great series that I have read and re-read it three times now.
I truly enjoyed the smoking extra scenes between Q and Tess ( who would 't) but it also included the first 3 chapters of Can't Touch this. Enough of a teaser about the smoking animal protector Ryder Carson and reluctant veterinarian, Vesper Fairfax that I just added another book to my kindle! Well played Pepper.
It was nice reading about Tess and Q again but I feel as though that ship has sailed. The series started three years ago and they got their HEA. I would have rather had a longer epilogue that maybe included children or maybe years into the future. The sex is always intense with this couple and as good as the couple of scenes were, I was disappointed. I'm sure Pepper Winters was giving readers more of what they wanted with Q and Tess. This won't dissuade me from reading more of the author's books because I really enjoy her dark romances.
